AmazonTube is Amazon's Answer to Google Pulling Out YouTube from Echo Show and Spot

With Google and Amazon notwithstanding unable to sort out their differences, YouTube remains unavailable on Repeat Show and Spot, and may too become off limits on Fire Boob tube from next month. Even so, if a new patent application filed with the USPTO (United states of america Patent and Trademark Office) is annihilation to go by, the Seattle-based due east-commerce behemothic may well be gearing up to launch a possible YouTube competitor by filing for a trademark on "AmazonTube".

The awarding, filed earlier this calendar week, describes a streaming service that volition provide "not-downloadable pre-recorded sound, visual and audiovisual works via wireless networks on a variety of topics of general involvement". Information technology also talks virtually "providing movies and other audiovisual content … via a video-on-demand service".

Some reports seem to suggest that Amazon has as well filed for a trademark on 'OpenTube', although we couldn't independently verify that. However, given how the company is already believed to have registered the domains AlexaOpenTube.com, AmazonAlexaTube.com and AmazonOpenTube.com, it won't be a total bolt from the blueish if that is indeed the case.
